RKM Logistics provides a coordinated suite of services for Australian importers, exporters, and domestic shippers. Rather than treating ocean, air, and road as isolated products, we design pathways that match your incoterms, inventory strategy, and delivery deadlines. All services are managed from our Acacia Ridge office with consistent documentation standards and a single communication channel.

Collage of ocean, air, and road freight modes
Mode selection depends on cost, urgency, and cargo characteristics — not habit alone.

International freight

  • Ocean freight — FCL and LCL exports and imports via Port of Brisbane and other Australian ports as required
  • Air freight — airport-to-airport and door-to-door for time-sensitive and high-value goods
  • Road transport — linehaul and distribution connecting ports, airports, and your facilities

Support, storage, and special handling

  • Customs and compliance — import/export entries, tariff advice coordination, and biosecurity liaison
  • Warehousing and distribution — receival, storage, pick-and-pack, and outbound dispatch
  • Project and special cargo — oversize, heavy, and modular movements with engineered plans
  • Packing and crating — export-ready packaging, ISPM 15 treatment coordination, and crating for machinery
  • Documentation support — bills of lading, certificates, letters of credit alignment, and supplier document review

RKM Logistics engages third-party carriers and specialists; we remain your contracting party for coordination unless otherwise agreed in writing.

How engagements are structured

  1. Discovery — volumes, lanes, seasonality, and special requirements
  2. Proposal — service mix, indicative pricing model, and KPIs if applicable
  3. Onboarding — account setup, insurance certificates, and document templates
  4. Execution — bookings, monitoring, and continuous improvement reviews

Spot shipments and long-term programmes are both welcome. For recurring trade lanes, we seek stability in carrier allocation and documentation formats to reduce variation and cost.

Industries we support

RKM Logistics serves manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, construction firms, and project owners across Queensland and interstate. Cargo profiles include finished goods, raw materials, spares for maintenance shutdowns, and capital equipment for greenfield sites. We adapt service intensity to your internal capability — some clients self-manage supplier relationships while relying on us for transport and customs; others delegate documentation review and warehouse coordination as well.

Dangerous goods, temperature-controlled products, and goods subject to quarantine receive additional scrutiny at quotation stage so that suitable carriers, packaging, and treatment pathways are confirmed before booking. If a product is prohibited or impractical to move under current rules, we advise early rather than proceeding into a hold at border.

Request a written scope

Use the quote request form or contact the office directly with commercial invoice drafts, packing lists, or even photos and dimensions if early in sourcing. The more complete the initial data, the faster we can confirm feasibility and price.

For tender or panel arrangements, we provide capability statements, insurance certificates, and referenceable lane experience on request. Service level agreements can define response times, reporting formats, and escalation paths when milestones slip beyond agreed tolerances.

Integrated coordination

Most clients use more than one mode over time. We maintain routing notes and documentation preferences on your file so repeat bookings inherit lessons from prior movements — carrier performance, terminal dwell patterns, and receival constraints at your sites.

Each service page describes scope boundaries; your written quotation remains the controlling document for inclusions, surcharges, and validity dates. Cross-service work — for example ocean import plus SEQ road delivery plus short-term storage — is quoted as an integrated scope where possible to avoid gaps between legs.
