Who is RKM LOGISTICS PTY LTD?
We are an Australian proprietary company that arranges and manages freight on behalf of business customers. We coordinate third-party carriers, airlines, shipping lines, customs brokers, and warehouse partners. We do not operate our own vessels, aircraft, or national fleet unless a specific movement is documented otherwise.
Do you have multiple offices or a large team?
No. We operate from one office at 20/43 Bradman St, Acacia Ridge QLD 4110. Enquiries, bookings, and shipment updates are handled through that location. The registered entity is RKM LOGISTICS PTY LTD, commonly referred to as RKM Logistics in customer communications.
Which regions do you serve?
We support import, export, and domestic freight across Australia with a operational focus on South East Queensland. International movements routinely involve Port of Brisbane, Brisbane Airport, and other Australian gateways as required by routing.
How do I request a quotation?
Submit cargo details through our Request a Quote form or email info@rkmlogistics.com.au with origin, destination, dimensions, weight, commodity, incoterms, and required delivery date. We respond with a written quotation listing inclusions, exclusions, and validity. Incomplete data may delay pricing until clarified.
What information do you need for an accurate quote?
At minimum: shipper and consignee locations, mode preference if known, package count, dimensions and gross weight per package, commodity description suitable for customs classification, incoterms, insurance responsibility, and any special handling (dangerous goods, temperature control, oversize). For project cargo, engineering drawings and lift plans accelerate assessment.
Do you handle customs clearance?
We coordinate customs processes with licensed brokers and lodge supporting data. Formal import and export entries are lodged by licensed customs brokers; RKM Logistics manages the workflow and communication unless your agreement assigns roles differently.
Can you store goods in a warehouse?
Yes, through partner facilities suited to your product type — general merchandise, industrial components, or quarantine-approved storage where applicable. Warehousing is scoped separately from pure transport and includes receival, storage, pick-and-pack, or cross-dock as agreed.
How are shipment updates provided?
We communicate milestones such as booking confirmation, gate-in, departure, arrival, customs status, and proof of delivery by email or phone. See our Shipment Updates page for definitions. We do not guarantee carrier portal accuracy when third-party systems delay data feeds.
What payment terms apply?
Spot shipments may require prepayment or deposits. Established accounts may receive credit terms after review. Pay only to bank details on official RKM LOGISTICS PTY LTD tax invoices; verify unexpected changes by calling 07 4763 4013.
Do you offer cargo insurance?
Insurance is your responsibility unless we agree in writing to arrange cover. We can facilitate placement with insurers; policy terms govern claims. Carriage liability is limited by conventions and carrier conditions of contract.
How do you handle dangerous goods or oversize cargo?
These require explicit declaration at quotation stage. We engage certified carriers, permits, and escorts as needed. Undeclared hazardous or misdeclared weights may be refused, returned, or reported to authorities at your cost.
What are your office hours?
Standard business hours apply Monday to Friday excluding Queensland public holidays. Urgent air or road requests received with complete details before midday are prioritised for same-day quotation where market conditions allow.
How is my personal information used?
Data from enquiries and quote forms is handled under our Privacy Policy, consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles.
Where can I read terms of service?
Website use and general service conditions are set out in our Terms & Conditions. Specific shipments may also be subject to carrier bills of lading, air waybills, and accepted quotation terms.

Documentation and compliance

Do you lodge customs entries yourselves?
We coordinate with licensed customs brokers you approve or introduce; entry preparation follows data you and your suppliers provide. We review alignment before lodgement where agreed in scope.
Can you store cargo?
Storage and pick-and-pack are arranged through partner facilities with scope defined in quotations — not at our Bradman Street office unless explicitly stated for a specific service.
